TDP General Secretary and Minister Nara Lokesh launched a scathing attack on the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), accusing it of continuing its sadistic behavior despite being rejected by the people in the recent elections. His remarks came after a disturbing video surfaced from Ibrahimpatnam, showing YSRCP workers engaging in aggressive and inhumane conduct during a public event.
The video, which has now gone viral on social media, allegedly shows YSRCP workers forcefully seizing a bicycle from a young boy who happened to be passing through the area near the residence of former Andhra Pradesh Minister Jogi Ramesh, where a family function was being held. The workers are seen spinning the bicycle in the air, slamming it to the ground, and stomping on it — all while deriving visible pleasure from the act. Shockingly, despite the boy breaking into tears, the YSRCP cadre reportedly ignored him and continued their behavior while recording the incident on mobile phones.
Minister Lokesh retweeted the video, condemning the incident in strong words. “They haven't changed. They never will. From the moment they named their party’s social media handle ‘Psycho’, they’ve only worked harder to justify it,” he wrote. “That’s why — yesterday, today, and forever — they remain a psycho party led by a psycho leader.”
He further added, “Despite people giving them a clear mandate to step away, their thoughts remain as twisted as ever. I’m sharing this video so that society can better understand the depravity of their actions — snatching a bicycle from a small boy, smashing it to pieces, and dancing on it as he cries in fear.”
The incident has sparked outrage across political and public circles, raising concerns once again over the culture of impunity and violence among some YSRCP grassroots workers. The party has yet to respond officially to the video or Lokesh’s remarks.
