Telangana Rajyadhikara Party chief and MLC Teenmaar Mallanna visited Nerella village in Rajanna Sircilla district and met families affected by the alleged 2017 custodial torture case. He expressed solidarity with the victims and assured them that their fight for justice would continue.

The victims recalled that in 2017, following the burning of a sand lorry, several youths from the village were taken into custody and allegedly subjected to third-degree torture for nearly five days at a police station. The incident had sparked widespread outrage across the state and became a major political issue at the time.

However, the families said that despite repeated assurances, justice has not been delivered. They alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had earlier promised strict action against the officials responsible but no concrete steps have been taken. They also expressed disappointment over assurances from BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar, stating that the matter remains unresolved.

The victims demanded a thorough investigation into the role of the police officials involved and sought strict legal action. Mallanna urged the government to order an impartial probe and warned of a large-scale agitation if justice is denied.
