Nampally court on Friday sentenced a 44-year-old man to undergo 25 years rigorous imprisonment in the sexual assault case of a minor girl reported at Mangalhat PS in 2022.  

The convict Mothukari Sathyanaryana Chary alias Chinna (44), working as a Carpenter and resident of Seetarambagh in Old Mallepally.

The accused person has sexually assaulted a minor girl, upon which on the complaint a case has been registered at Begum Bazar PS, later as the place of offence falls under the limits of Mangalhat PS, the case has transferred to Mangalhat PS, where the case has re-registered in 2022.

Later, Mangalhat police arrested the accused person and remanded him for judicial custody. Thereafter collecting all material evidence and forensic opinions the investigation officer has filed a charge sheet against the accused person in the court of XII Additional Sessions Judge in Hyderabad.

After careful examination of witnesses and documentary evidence filed by the investigation officers, T Anitha, XII Additional Sessions Judge, Nampally has believed and sentenced rigorous imprisonment against the accused person for a period of 25 years and imposed a fine of Rs 15000 for the offence.
