The 'Chalo Hyderabad' program, earlier scheduled for November 12 by the Telangana Mid-Day Meal Scheme Workers Union State Committee, has been postponed to November 24 due to unavoidable circumstances.

Union president P Prem Pavani announced that under the auspices of the Telangana Mid-Day Meal Scheme Workers Union (AITUC), the 'Chalo Hyderabad' protest will now be organized on November 24. The decision aims to intensify the ongoing struggle regarding several unresolved issues faced by cooking staff - including the pending breakfast bills, the Rs 10,000 election assurance promised by the Congress government, and other long-pending demands.

She stated that efforts are underway to ensure the participation of the AITUC state leadership and the CPI MLC in the program. To make the protest impactful, the union has decided to mobilize at least 200 workers from each of the district in the state to participate in the event and create public awareness about their demands.

Prem Pavani also mentioned that special invitations will be extended to all the concerned individuals and organizations. She appealed to the Union’s state, district, mandal and school-level leadership to work collectively to make the 'Chalo Hyderabad' program a grand success.
