State Planning Board Vice Chairman and CM Prajavani Incharge Dr. G. Chinna Reddy paid a surprise visit to the Nagar Kurnool Social Welfare Department College in Shadnagar on Monday. The visit came in the wake of protests by around 400 girl students against the conduct of the college principal, Shailaja.

During his inspection, Dr. Chinna Reddy interacted with the students and staff to understand the issues at the college. He inquired about the principal’s alleged behavior towards students and inspected the college premises, including classrooms, washrooms, and other facilities.

He expressed concern over the poor condition of the college infrastructure and assured the students that he would bring their grievances to the attention of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Dr. Chinna Reddy also joined the students for lunch, sharing a meal with them in a show of solidarity.

Speaking to reporters later, he said that a detailed report on the college’s condition and the principal’s conduct would soon be submitted to the Chief Minister for necessary action.
