Min directs officials to expedite building of NDB roads

State Roads and Buildings, Investment and Infrastructure Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy on Thursday directed the officials to complete the construction of roads and highways undertaken under the aegis of the New Development Bank (NDB) in the state at the earliest. A review meeting with was held with NDB representatives and senior officials of R&B department under the chairmanship of Minister BC Janardhan Reddy on the progress of NDB road development works at the Engineer in Chief (ENC) office of R&B department.

R&B Department ENC Naeemulla, AP Road Development Corporation MD Srinivas Reddy, NDB representatives and other senior officials participated in the review meeting. The Minister directed the officials to go ahead with a specific plan aimed at completing the development works of NDB roads by the end of next year. The Minister informed that under NDB funding so far works worth Rs 637.76 crore have been completed and an amount of Rs 488.30 crore has been spent. He said that the government is working with the goal of completing the development work of NDB roads next year.

During the review meeting, the Minister enquired with the officials about the progress of NDB road works district-wise. He directed the officials to ascertain the reasons for the delay and resolve the issues expeditiously. He also directed the officials to ensure that there is no dearth of funds for speedy completion of road development works. NDB representatives expressed satisfaction that there has been significant progress in the development of NDB road works in the state in the last 10 months Minister BC Janardhan Reddy felicitated the NDB representatives presented a statue of Lord Venkateswara on this occasion.
