Minister Lokesh holds 76th day of Praja Darbar

Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Monday conducted the 76th day of his Praja Darbar at the Telugu Desam Party’s central office in Mangalagiri. People and party cadre from across Andhra Pradesh arrived in large numbers to meet the minister and present their grievances directly . Lokesh interacted with each visitor, patiently listening to their concerns and accepting written petitions. He assured them that all genuine issues would be addressed and necessary action would be taken without delay.

Representatives of the Akhila Bharata Naibrahmana Rights Protection Service, Welfare and Community Upliftment Committee met the minister and requested immediate action to fill the vacant posts of traditional temple musicians under the Endowments Department. They explained that across various temples, key positions such as nadaswaram, dholu, shruti, and talam artists remain unfilled. Trained individuals who have completed formal courses and hold diplomas in these instruments are waiting for appointments, they said. They urged Lokesh to ensure recruitment and also consider age relaxation in the notification.

Residents of Vissannapeta in Tiruvuru constituency, NTR district, appealed to the minister to grant house site pattas, stating that they have been living on banjar lands for over 70 years. They requested government support to secure their habitation rights.Farmers from Kotavuru, a village affected by submergence under the Mudivedu Balancing Reservoir in Annamaiah district, informed the minister that 60 families had lost their homes and lands. They urged the government to expedite compensation and resolve long-pending rehabilitation issues.

Mahadevi Jayashankar from Govindapalli in Ramakuppam mandal, Chittoor district, alleged that 42 false cases were filed against her family during the previous YSRCP regime due to political vendetta. She sought a fair inquiry and justice. Minister Lokesh assured all petitioners that their representations would be examined promptly and appropriate measures would be initiated.
