The Samyuktha Reddy Fertility Centre, in collaboration with the Extramile Charity Foundation, organized a social service program for underprivileged girl students at Seth Narayan Das Om Prakash Motika Government Girls High School in West Marredpally, Secunderabad.
The initiative focused on promoting hygiene, wellbeing, and dignity among girls from vulnerable backgrounds, particularly those from single-parent or parentless families.
The program, led by Extramile Foundation and sponsored by Samyuktha Reddy Fertility Centre, aimed to provide essential support while encouraging confidence and self-care among adolescent girls. Around 100 students from Classes 6 to 10 received two sets of undergarments, addressing a basic yet often overlooked need essential for personal hygiene and self-esteem. Organizers emphasized that the distribution was more than a charitable act; it was a step toward fostering confidence, dignity, and awareness about personal care.
Dr. Samyuktha Reddy, speaking at the event, highlighted the importance of ambition, nutrition, healthcare, and sanitation for young girls. ‘Focus on self-care and eat healthy. Proper nutrition and sanitation will give you confidence; stay strong and follow your ambition,’ she said. She also stressed that the wellbeing of young girls is critical to national growth, noting that their education, health, and self-confidence are essential for building the country’s future.
Vijay Reddy of Samyuktha Reddy Fertility Centre acknowledged the collaborative effort that made the initiative possible, expressing commitment to continuing such social service programs. Extramile Foundation representative Naga Mohan encouraged the students to overcome challenges and find strength within themselves. He also outlined the foundation’s ongoing efforts, including biannual social service programs in March, April, September, and October across Hyderabad, Jagityala, Tirupati, and Warangal, as well as free tuition and training for girls in areas like Nacharam–Mallapur under the Sabala Centre initiative, running for four years.
School headmaster Manohar Chari addressed the students on the importance of social responsibility, gratitude, and the value of giving back, encouraging them to continue acts of kindness that contribute to building compassionate and responsible citizens.
The event underscored the commitment of both organizations to child welfare, health, and hygiene. While items like innerwear may seem minor, organizers emphasized their critical role in ensuring physical comfort, emotional confidence, and long-term wellbeing for underprivileged girls. By providing these necessities and motivational support, Samyuktha Reddy Fertility Centre and Extramile Foundation aim to nurture ambition, dignity, and self-confidence among the next generation.
Dr. Reddy concluded, ‘These girls are the future of the country. Providing them the necessities equips them with the confidence to dream big and achieve their goals.’
