Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh visited Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasanthana Mutt, a prominent socio-spiritual centre in Nagamangala taluk of Mandya district of Karnataka. The Mutt has a history of 1800 years, is a symbol of knowledge, devotion and service. On this occasion, Minister Nara Lokesh offered special pujas to Sri Kalabhairaveshwara Swamy temple. Later, he enquired about the various seva and spiritual activities being carried out by the Mutt. He took blessings from Jagadguru Sri Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, the head of the 72nd Pontiff of the Mutt.
Minister Nara Lokesh visited the schools, medical college, hospital and university run by the mutt. Later, he enquired about the “Samvit” schools run by the mutt. The Mutt’s organizers informed minister Lokesh they are providing education with all facilities from Class 6 to Intermediate free of cost to poor students. They also said that the mutt will provide financial assistance to those who want to study for a degree in any state after completing the intermediate. On this occasion, Minister Nara Lokesh requested to start a “Samvit” school for the benefit of poor students in Andhra Pradesh.
