Former Minister and BRS MLA T Harish Rao alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s government is now acting scared because of BRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s recent press conference.
Harish Rao said that KCR reminded people of the unfulfilled promises made by Congress, which made the government look bad. However, the Ministers are so frustrated that they are rushing to hold their press meetings just to attack KCR.
"In my 25 years of political life, I have never seen a Chief Minister hold a press briefing at 9:30 PM to give explanations. It shows the power of KCR," Harish Rao said in a chit chat with media persons at Telangana Bhavan here on Tuesday
The BRS leader alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is terrified of the Secretariat and he is not even climbing the Secretariat steps due to fear of Vastu.
"Even after changing the gates and doors of the Secretariat, Revanth Reddy’s fear did not subside, and he confined themselves solely to the command and control room. Moreover, with over 4,000 BRS supporters winning as sarpanches, the Chief Minister has begun to fear defeat. That is why he is trying to appoint Congress workers through nominations instead of holding cooperative elections. If the Chief Minister has the courage, he should conduct the cooperative elections immediately," Harish Rao said.
"The Chief Minister, who boasted that he would come to Osmania University alone, went there under the protection of thousands of police officers. Having student leaders arrested before his arrival is proof of his cowardice, the BRS leader pointed out.
Harish Rao welcomed the proposal of giving PPT presentation given by the government on irrigation. However, BRS should also be given the opportunity to present a PPT to explain the facts,he said.
The BRS MLA further alleged that this is not a government; it's a consultancy company, being run on the advice of Mumbai brokers.
"The ruling party leaders previously paid a brokerage company a commission of Rs 180 crore for securing loans. Now, again on the advice of the same broker, they are trying to split the GHMC into three parts and raise a loan of Rs 30,000 crore. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy have shared Rs 7,000 crore in the name of irrigation projects. The bills are now being paid only to those who give a 20% commission," Harish Rao alleged.
"Whenever the government is in a tight spot, it resorts to diversionary politics by leaking information about phone tapping and the Formula E race. The ruling party leaders say the government will issue notices to me in the phone tapping case as soon as the Assembly session concludes. The SIT (Special Investigation Team) is a big joke," he said.
Moreover, we are noting down the names of the police officers who are filing illegal cases to please Revanth Reddy. You will meet the same fate as the officers in Andhra Pradesh. Even if you retire or are abroad, we will drag you back," Harish Rao cautioned.
DGP Shivadhar Reddy is so preoccupied with providing security for football matches and he has no time for anything else. Reducing the health insurance coverage for constables to Rs. 1 lakh is an atrocious act. The DGP should focus on their TA and DA allowances to constables and Home Guards," Harish Rao said.
