Ministers hand over Arogyasri health cards to children at Shishu Vihar

Minister for Panchayat Raj Seethakka and Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar have presented Arogyasri Health Cards to orphaned children residing at Shishu Vihar. At a programme held at Tourism Plaza, Begumpet here on Saturday, Minister Seethakka remarked that providing Arogyasri cards to orphans is a groundbreaking initiative that addresses the hardship of growing up without a family.

“Currently, all the children without parents are considered government children. We have decided to offer Arogyasri cards to orphans. Government officials are stepping in as parental figures by distributing these cards,” Seethakka stated.

“For the first time, the State government is issuing Arogyasri Health Cards to 2,200 orphans in Hyderabad, with plans to expand this initiative throughout Telangana in the future,” she added. Following the event, Ministers Seethakka and Ponnam Prabhakar, along with other distinguished guests, shared a meal with the orphaned children.

MP Anil Kumar Yadav, GHMC Mayor Gadwala Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha, Hyderabad Collector Anudeep Durshetty, Women and Child Welfare Secretary Anitha Ramachandran and Director Kanthi Wesley were present.
