Telangana BJP President and Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy emphasized that the Modi government has significantly contributed to Telangana’s development, spending Rs 10 lakh crore and providing another Rs 10 lakh crore in loans. He urged the media to highlight these efforts with facts and analysis.
Listing key projects, he mentioned a Rs 7,000 crore urea unit in Ramagundam, a railway wagon factory in Kazipet, Rs 1.20 lakh crore for national highways, Rs 150 crore for Warangal Smart City and Ramappa Temple works, Rs 1,000 crore for Sammakka Saralamma Temple facelift, Rs 1,350 crore for AIIMS Bibinagar, and the green signal for MMTS from Hyderabad to Yadagirigutta. He also highlighted Rs 60,000 crore in fertilizer subsidies, Rs 12,000 crore for gram panchayats, tax reductions up to Rs 12.75 lakh, an industrial park in Zaheerabad, and free rice distribution.
Addressing a press conference in Hanamkonda, Kishan Reddy criticized previous governments for failing to set up industries and noted the closure of Praga Tools, IDPL, HMT, and Allwyn. On the Bayyaram steel plant, he stated that surveys revealed insufficient steel availability, making it unviable, and mocked BRS leaders for their unfulfilled promises. He confirmed that the BJP would contest all three MLC seats in Telangana’s upcoming elections, expressing confidence in growing public support.
He accused Congress of failing to fulfill its six guarantees within 100 days and stated that public dissatisfaction with the party is rising, much like it did with BRS. He criticized both BRS and Congress for undermining the Legislative Council’s purpose, emphasizing that BJP is contesting to ensure teachers’ and employees’ issues are addressed.
Kishan Reddy also criticized CM Revanth Reddy’s frequent Delhi visits, accusing him of merely repeating Rahul Gandhi’s words instead of addressing Telangana’s issues. He claimed Congress is diverting public attention from its failures and assured that BJP will stand firm on its promises while actively raising key issues in the Legislative Council.
