Moinabad drugs case: Revanth clarifies station bail not political

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has responded to the Moinabad drugs case, stating the state government has absolutely no involvement in the matter.

Speaking to the media while on a visit to Delhi on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said, "In the Moinabad drugs case, station bail was granted strictly in accordance with the rules. We have no involvement whatsoever in this. We have constituted a SIT (Special Investigation Team) to investigate this matter,"

Revanth Reddy stated that elections in Telangana would take place only in 2029. He clarified that elections would not be held in 2028. He expressed the view that it would be beneficial if women's reservations were implemented sooner.

Earlier, the Chief Minister met top Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi at the Parliament. Accompanied by TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, he held a meeting with them. Revanth  Reddy also introduced Vem Narender Reddy—who has been recently elected to the Rajya Sabha—to Rahul and Priyanka.
