Bhongir Lok Sabha Member Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has requested Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw to provide a halt for mainline trains at Bommaipalli Railway station near Bhongir in Telangana, highlighting the long-pending public demand to declare Bommaipalli as a halting station.

Bommaipalli is the second railway station near Bhongir and serves as an important junction for trains travelling from Secunderabad towards Guntur via Nadikudi. Despite its strategic importance, no mainline trains are presently provided a halt at this station. Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy highlighted that Swarnagiri Temple, a key pilgrimage site devoted to Lord Venkateswara, draws around one lakh devotees daily and sits right next to Bommaipalli Railway Station.

Additionally, AIIMS, Bibinagar is situated just 8 km away, and the world-famous Yadadri (Lord Narasimha) temple, popularly known as Telangana Tirupati, is also located nearby.

The MP emphasised that providing a halt for mainline trains at Bommaipalli would greatly benefit passengers, pilgrims, daily commuters, students, office goers, traders, and farmers. He stated that it would significantly contribute to the overall development of the Bhongir region by boosting temple tourism, textile trade, agricultural marketing, and local businesses.

He further urged the Railway Ministry to consider the modernisation and upgradation of Bommaipalli Railway Station with enhanced passenger amenities such as waiting halls, clean toilets, drinking water facilities, retail stalls, and adequate vehicle parking, which would also help generate additional railway revenue.

Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy appealed to the Railway Minister to consider the request positively and take early steps to provide a halt for mainline trains at Bommaipalli Railway Station, in addition to Bhongir, in the larger public interest.

AIIMS, Bibinagar is situated just 8 km away, and the world-famous Yadadri (Lord Narasimha) temple, popularly known as Telangana Tirupati, is also located nearby.
