metro india news I nalgonda
Telangana BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao lashed out at the ongoing dynastic politics in Nalgonda, stating that “Nalgonda has a rich legacy of political awareness and mass movements, but today, it is under the grip of a single family's dominance. The district is being run by brothers from one political family,” he said, during a grand welcome meeting organized by BJP workers on Monday at Choutuppal on his first official visit after taking charge.
Rao remarked that he had specifically requested Nalgonda as the destination for his maiden tour as it is his birthplace and a land known for sacrifices and patriotism. Remembering ABVP martyrs like Srinivas and Maisaiah Goud, he said the district was once a hub of public awakening but has now fallen into the hands of corrupt family rule.
Targeting the Congress government, he said that the party, led by CM Revanth Reddy, is a puppet in the hands of the Gandhi family. He alleged that Congress is continuing the corrupt legacy of the previous BRS regime, cheating farmers, students, and the unemployed. “Ration cards are being selectively distributed to Congress workers while genuine beneficiaries are being ignored,” he said, warning that BJP would launch mass agitations in the coming days.
He accused the Congress of failing to implement its election promises, including loan waivers, fee reimbursement, unemployment allowance, and timely salaries. Rao emphasized that only the BJP, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, can deliver a corruption-free and developed Telangana through a double-engine government. Highlighting the BJP’s growing strength in Telangana with 7 MLAs, 8 MPs, and 3 MLCs, Rao said the party saw a significant surge in vote share in South Telangana in the recent Lok Sabha polls.
Rao criticized the Congress government’s attempt to include 10% Muslim minority quota within the proposed 42% BC reservations, calling it vote-bank politics. BJP, he asserted, supports 42% reservation for BCs only if it is scientifically framed and religion-neutral. He called upon all party workers to prepare for a people’s movement to defeat corrupt and inefficient regime.
