Nellore District Collector Himanshu Shukla has been awarded the state-level award for the effective implementation of the best election mapping in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The 16th National Voters' Day was celebrated at Tummalapalli Kalakshetra in Vijayawada on Sunday. The award was received by the District Collector from the hands of Chief Secretary K.Vijayanand.
Nellore district has secured the 5th position at the State level by successfully implementing “Best Election Mapping” in the Special Intensive Revision process along with the best election management. Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vivek Yadav and State Election Commissioner (Retd) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said that this achievement has been possible due to the coordinated efforts of the District Election Administration. He assured to work more effectively in the future with the same spirit. In this event, apart from the District Collector, District Election Sub-Collector Ashar, Best BLO Supervisor T.A. Ramprasad of Gudur and BLO with maximum mapping Bollam Venkata Ramanaiah were also awarded.
