Newly wed software employee commits suicide

In a shocking incident, a young software professional ended her life by suicide just one month after her marriage. According to police sources, the victim has been identified as Ishika Yadav, originally from Bihar. Her husband, Neeraj Bansal, hails from Madhya Pradesh. The couple first met through social media in 2020 and got married on February 20, 2026, after their families approved their relationship. 

Both Ishika and Neeraj were working as software employees and were residing in an apartment at Miyapur. However, trouble began shortly after the wedding when Neeraj allegedly started harassing Ishika for additional dowry. This led to frequent arguments and growing misunderstandings between the couple. Unable to bear the mental torture and constant harassment from her husband, Ishika reportedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan when no one else was at home. 

Miyapur police, who rushed to the spot after receiving information, shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examination. Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family members, a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
