CSI All Saints’ Church, Trimulgherry, witnessed a spiritually enriching Service of Nine Lessons and Carols on Sunday evening, marking the joyful celebration of Christmas. The special service, held at 6.30 pm, brought together members of the congregation in a solemn and prayerful atmosphere, centred on the birth of Lord Jesus Christ.

A total of 51 choristers took part in the service, which thoughtfully blended scripture readings with melodious carols to narrate the timeless story of God’s redemptive love for humanity. The readings and music together led the congregation into a meaningful time of worship, reflection, and fellowship, highlighting the true significance of the Christmas message.

The church choir rendered nine traditional and contemporary carols with devotion and musical excellence. The selections included From Heaven Above to Earth I Come, Don’t Miss Christmas, All My Heart This Night Rejoices, There’s a Song in the Air!, O Sanctissima, Lo! The Heav’nly Choirs Are Singing, The Joyful Morn Is Breaking, Christmas Voices, and the much-loved Silent Night. The choir comprised 20 sopranos, 10 altos, 14 tenors, and seven basses, whose harmonious singing added depth and grace to the service.

The choir was led by Organist and Choirmaster Sukanya James, whose dedication, discipline, and musical sensitivity were evident throughout the performance.

Rev. B. Winston, Presbyter-in-Charge, and Rev. D. Raja, Presbyter, along with the Pastorate Committee members, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the choir for their inspiring presentation.
