Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharshan Reddy has issued show-cause notices on Tuesday to nine registered unrecognized political parties (RUPPs) in the State, directing them to explain why they should not be removed from the Election Commission of India’s register.
According to a memo dated August 12, 2025, the notices were sent to the District Election Officers (DEOs) and Collectors of Hyderabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, and Bhadradri–Kothagudem districts. The parties have been given until August 25, 2025, to furnish detailed responses and recommendations for submission to the ECI in New Delhi.
The parties are: All India Azaad Congress Party (Hyderabad), All India BC OBC Party (Medchal–Malkajgiri), BC Bharatha Desam Party (Hyderabad), Bharat Labour Praja Party (Bhadradri–Kothagudem), Loksatta Party (Hyderabad), Mahajana Mandali Party (Hyderabad), Nava Bharat National Party (Medchal–Malkajgiri), Telangana Pragati Samithi (Medchal–Malkajgiri), and Telangana Independent Party (Medchal–Malkajgiri). The DEOs have been instructed to serve the notices, publish the names of the parties in national and local newspapers, and give wide publicity on social media.
