“Nizamabad Premium League” to be conducted

In an initiative to encourage local sports talent in Nizamabad district, the Nizamabad Security Council is set to organize the prestigious “Nizamabad Premier League” — a district-level multi-sport tournament. The primary objective of the mega event is to create widespread awareness on key issues including Cyber Security, Narcotics Control and Traffic Rules. Five different competitions will be held as part of the event. Volleyball, Basketball and Kabaddi matches will take place at the DSA Ground in Nizamabad.

These will feature six categories for boys and girls in Under-14, Under-18 and above 18 age groups, with a total of 18 prizes. Cricket matches will be held at the Mahila Degree College Ground in Kanteshwar in a 12-over format. The entry fee is Rs 5,000  and only the first 32 registered teams will be allowed to participate. The winning team will receive a prize of Rs 1,00,000, while the runners-up will get Rs 50,000. Interested participants must register their names by 5:00 PM on April 17, 2026.
