The Departments of Neurosciences and Rehabilitation at KIMS Hospitals, in association with Aerobe Pvt Ltd and MagVenture, Denmark, hosted a hands-on interactive workshop on Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation with a special focus on Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) on Sunday.
The programme brought together nearly 100 neurologists, pain specialists and neuro-rehabilitation experts from across the country to deliberate on recent advances in the use of rTMS for stroke recovery and pain management.
Dr. Sudhindra Vooturi, Director, Centre for Rehabilitation, KIMS Hospitals, speaking on the occasion, said that the workshop was aimed at bridging the gap between basic neuroscience and clinical practice.
Dr. Bhaskar Rao Bollineni, Chairman and Managing Director, KIMS Group of Hospitals, said that the institution remains committed to advancing neuro-rehabilitation through innovation, research and professional training. The workshop featured discussions on targeted techniques for non-invasive brain modulation, hands-on clinical applications of rTMS in managing chronic pain and neurological ailments.
