Novel by former DGP Maria Kumar released in Hyd

Love Reigns When Fate Falters, a psychological thriller authored by former Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police B. Maria Kumar, was unveiled at a literary event held at Columbus Coffee in Punjagutta, Hyderabad, on Wednesday. The book was released by ethnic wear designer and blogger B. Vijayalakshmi in the presence of writers, intellectuals, book lovers and former civil servants.

The event witnessed discussions on the novel’s central themes of love, fate, human emotions and psychological conflicts. Speakers highlighted the book’s exploration of the emotional struggles, silent dilemmas and unexpected turns that shape human lives.

Former IAS officer A. Dinakar Babu said the novel delves into the unspoken emotions and difficult choices people face in life. Former Indian Railway Traffic Service officer N. Bhupal Raju noted that the story examines the relationship between individual decisions and destiny.

Dr. Syed Sayeed, former Professor of Philosophy at EFLU, praised the psychological depth of the characters, while former Central Warehousing Corporation Chief General Manager P.E. Prasad described the novel as a portrayal of love as a guiding force during challenging times.

Prof. Vikas Singh of the Indian Institute of Public Administration reviewed the book, highlighting its focus on emotional journeys and self-discovery. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by B.S. Sushmita. The event was coordinated by Nandini and attended by members of Hyderabad’s literary community.
