If you are in search of terrace garden, kitchen gardening and any kind of saplings and decorative items, then hurry up to the 17th All India Horticulture Mela, which has been set up at People’s Plaza in Necklace road in the heart of Hyderabad city.
Five days Mela has kick started on Thursday (January 30) and it will be concluding on Monday (February 3). On a weekend more people visited the stalls in the Mela. Nursery Mela captivating plant and gardening enthusiasts with an exhibition showcasing horticulture and agricultural products from across the country.
This Nursery Mela has been organized to create a marketing avenue for nurseries to popularize different species of plants and gardening materials and to bring farmers, suppliers and gardening enthusiasts together to interact and fulfill their requirements.
This Mela helps people to set up their own home gardens, kitchen garden, vertical garden and terrace garden. Around 140-145 stalls set up in the Mela and in that 120 stalls exclusively for nursery and remaining 20-25 stalls include fertilizers, clay pots, ceramic pots, vegetable, fruit and flower seeds, decorative items of the garden and organic food items stalls.
The Mela features a wide variety of vegetable, fruit, medicinal, rare plants and horticulture products. People come from Andhra Pradesh, Kolkata, Delhi, Haryana, Mumbai, Pune, Shirdi, Kadiyam, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu and set up their stalls.
Medicinal plants like Tulsi, Lavender, Nalleru, Lemon Grass, Mint Tulsi, Multi Vitamin, Ajwain, Lavanga Tulsi and other varieties of plants available in the Mela cost range starts from Rs 50.
Anuradha Lakkaraju, Managing Director of Sneha Nursery said “We are showcasing a diverse selection of seasonal flowers, including Petunia, Dianthus, Gazania, Impatiens, Zinnia, Torenia, Celosia, Calendula, Gomphrena, Begonia, Salvia, Helichrysum, Gaillardia, Cosmos, Dahlia, and Pastel Mix. These are available as seedlings, in polybags, and in pots.”
Imported fruits plants like Thailand sweet orange, Thailand Anjeera, Thailand Jackfruit and Malaysian Apple along with the India fruits Guava, Sapota, Avocado and other fruits. Other plants like Adenium, cactus, succulent pine varieties, orchids are also there in display. Vegetable seedlings, including Papaya, Marigold, Drumstick, Chili and Tomato are also available in this Mela.
