Over 3,200 participated in math championship

SIP Abacus, one of India’s leading children’s skill development organizations organized the 22nd Telangana Regional Prodigy Championship 2026 on Sunday at Classic Convention Three, Shamshabad. 3,200 kids aged between 5 and 14 from across Telangana participated in the event. Pannuru Prabhakar, Principal, ARCA Global International School, attended as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the championship in the presence of Dinesh Victor, Founder and Managing Director, SIP Academy India.

Pannuru Prabhakar mentioned that Mathematics occupies the highest position among all branches of knowledge and recalled that ancient India recognized the importance of Mathematics centuries ago. Speaking on “Abacus Training in the Age of AI,” Dinesh Victor said that Abacus training develops the mind that asks the right questions. “AI gives information; Abacus builds brain power”, he mentioned.
