The Suchirindia Foundation celebrated Sankalp Divas at Mountain Heights, Shilparamam, honoring social contributors and spreading joy to children from special schools. The event coincided with the birthday of Lion Dr. Y. Kiron, the foundation’s visionary behind this initiative.
This year, the Sankalp Kiron Puraskar was awarded to Padma Shri Jadav Payeng, renowned as the Forest Man of India, and M Venkaiah Naidu, former Vice President of India, who was the chief guest. The program showcased performances by children from 50 special schools, highlighting their extraordinary talent in music and dance.
Dr. Kiron spoke about the importance of meaningful social impact, organic farming, village development, and combating drug abuse among youth. Padma Shri Jadav Payeng expressed gratitude, praising the children and Dr. Kiron’s dedication to society.
Other social contributors were honored with the Sankalp Seva Puraskar, including Balaji Tarini, Khwaja Moinuddin, C Praveen Kumar Yadhav, and Polina Chandra Sekhar.
