Union Home Minister Amit Shah has suggested that the assistance provided by the Centre to AP and the schemes of the Central Government should be taken to the people. He said that everyone should put aside internal differences and work towards strengthening the BJP in the state. A meeting of BJP MPs and MLAs was held on Sunday at Novotel Hotel in Vijayawada under the chairmanship of AP BJP President and Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeswari.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah was the chief guest at the meeting, which lasted for about an hour and a half. 20 BJP MLAs, MPs and leaders participated in the meeting. On this occasion, Amit Shah gave direction to the BJP cadre on key issues. It is reported that the discussion focused on the current political developments in AP, strengthening the party, and taking the assistance provided by the central government to AP to the people.
