Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, visited the historic Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib Gurudwara in Nanded on Sunday and offered special prayers at one of the holiest shrines for Sikhs. The two leaders paid obeisance at the Samadhi of the 10th Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and participated in special religious prayers held at the revered shrine, which is one of the five highest Takhts of the Sikh faith.

Pawan Kalyan, who was in Nanded to participate in the 350th Shaheedi Samagam of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, visited the Sachkhand Gurudwara in the afternoon. He was accorded a warm traditional welcome by the Gurudwara management under the leadership of Chairman Dr. Vijay Satpal Singh.

As part of Sikh tradition, religious elders honoured the Deputy Chief Minister by adorning him with a traditional Sikh turban before he entered the Gurudwara premises along with Chief Minister Fadnavis. Inside the main sanctum, both leaders offered prayers to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and presented a sacred chadar as a mark of reverence.

Following the prayers, Gurudwara granthis blessed the leaders by presenting them with holy clothes. The two Chief Ministers then circumambulated the Samadhi shrine and later offered prayers at the Nishan Sahib, the sacred Sikh flag revered as a symbol of faith and sacrifice. After the darshan, Pawan Kalyan, accompanied by Devendra Fadnavis, inaugurated an electronic donation machine installed at the Gurudwara premises to facilitate digital offerings by devotees.

As this marked his first visit to the Sachkhand Gurudwara, Sikh religious leaders felicitated Pawan Kalyan in a ceremonial manner. The Gurudwara committee presented him with a commemorative memento and the Kirpan, the sacred Sikh ceremonial sword, as a symbol of honour and spiritual responsibility.

Speaking to local media after the visit, Pawan Kalyan said the life and sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji continue to inspire the entire nation. “His martyrdom stands as a beacon of courage, faith, and selfless sacrifice. Participating in the Shaheedi Samagam of such a great Guru is a moment of profound honour,” he said.
