PCC Secretary greets on Handloom Day, urges support for weavers

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) General Secretary Uppala Srinivas Gupta extended greetings to handloom weavers and artisans on the occasion of National Handloom Day, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to preserving India's cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship. In a message released on the occasion, Srinivas Gupta praised the efforts of weavers who transform yarn into beautiful fabrics, saying their work not only sustains India's rich traditions but also upholds the dignity and pride of its people.

He appealed to the public to support the handloom sector by choosing to wear handloom garments and encouraging the use of indigenous handloom products. Promoting handloom, he said, is a meaningful way to honor the hard work and dedication of the country's weaving community. Gupta called upon citizens to stand in solidarity with weavers and contribute to the growth of the traditional handloom industry by giving preference to locally made handloom textiles.
