Priyanka Chopra condemns fake ‘virgin wife’ quote circulating online, urging fans to verify information and stay safe on social media

Actress Priyanka Chopra is currently promoting her upcoming American film Heads of State. Recently, a quote attributed to her went viral on Instagram after being shared by a media portal named The Brief India. The quote read: “Don’t look for a virgin as a wife. Get a woman with good manners. Virginity ends in one night, but manners last forever.” However, Priyanka has now slammed the fake quote, clarifying that it is not her voice and urging everyone to stay safe and not believe everything that appears on social media.

On Thursday, Priyanka took to her Instagram story, re-shared the fake quote, and wrote, “This is not me, my quote or my voice. Just because it’s online doesn’t make it true. Creating fake content is now an easy way to achieve virality. None of the links or ‘sources’ attached to this claim, or many others online, are real or credible. Take a minute to cross-check such content and don’t believe everything you scroll past. Stay safe online.”

Recently, Priyanka revealed that she lost a ‘chunk’ of her eyebrow while filming for Heads of State. Appearing on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, the actress said, “The camera has a matte box, and I was supposed to roll on the floor and fall, and it was raining. And the camera was supposed to come in close to me. So the camera operator came in a little bit closer—I came in a little bit closer, and it took out a chunk of my eyebrow. It could have been my eye, so I was very grateful that it wasn’t.” Further, Priyanka added, “I just put surgical glue on there and stuck it. I finished my day because I did not want to come back and shoot in the rain again.”
