Pilot dead as plane hits police chopper

A Pennsylvania State Police helicopter lies on its side after colliding with a small aircraft at Carlisle airport in Pennsylvania, killing the plane’s pilot. Two state troopers aboard the helicopter survived the crash after escaping through a window, authorities said.
