Hyderabad: Chikkadpally police on Wednesday arrested two accused persons, who were involved in a robbery case, with the help of CCTV footage.

Complaint lodged on May 5 stated that while the complainant was sleeping on a footpath near Chandana brother’s shop near pillar no 1120 Chikkadpally bus stand, the accused person came and threatened him by showing a knife and robbed Rs 3500 from his pocket.

Accused persons identified as Kanakuntla Mallesh (27), Painter, resident of Medar Basthi Ram Nagar in Secunderabad and Malothu Naresh (31), Painter, resident of Dilawar Gunj in Mangalhat.

Police verified 10 CCTV camera footage and verified previous criminal cases to detect the robbery case and apprehended the accused persons. Police have recovered Rs 1120 cash and paper cutting blade from them which is used in commission of offence.
