Police recover firearms from accused

Sensational revelations have come to light in the Gachibowli Prism pub firing case. The police have recovered three firearms from the accused Batula Prabhakar. The police found that the guns were purchased from a  Bihar gang. Prabhakar opened fire on the police at the Prism pub on Saturday and tried to escape from the area.

Cyberabad CCS constable Venkat Ram Reddy and two bouncers were injured in the incident. The bullet hit the police constable's thigh. The injured constable was rushed to the local Continental Hospital by the police. The Doctors are treating him at the hospital. Police recovered two firearms and 23 bullets from Prabhakar on the spot.

Madhapur DCP Vineet Kumar gave details of the case to the media. It is learnt that Batula Prabhakar is coming to Prism pub regularly. When the police went to catch him, he opened fire. "We are investigating if there are any other cases against Prabhakar," the DCP said and added that a search was conducted at Prabhakar's room in Gachibowli. He said another gun was recovered from the room of the accused.

Prabhakar was staying in a friend's room by working in a multinational company. Prabhakar had purchased guns to kill the prisoner, who was with him in Vizag jail. Prabhakar is being interrogated by the police now and more things are likely to come to light in the investigation. There are 80 cases booked against Prabhakar in the two Telugu States. As many as 16 cases have been registered under the limits of three police commissionerates. Prabhakar has been absconding since November 2023. Prabhakar's fingerprints have been identified in the Moinabad theft case.
