Power Minister Gottipati Ravikumar criticized YS Jagan for allegedly misleading the public with false promises and pushing Andhra Pradesh back 20 years. He accused Jagan of spreading misinformation about the free electricity scheme for SCs and STs, claiming it was a failure. Ravikumar condemned YSRCP leaders' campaigns in Sakshi newspaper and alleged that Jagan had disrupted the state's electricity system during his tenure, which had to be restored by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's governance.

The minister accused Jagan's government of attempting to hinder the provision of quality electricity to farmers through false propaganda. He highlighted the Surya Ghar scheme, currently in a pilot phase in Kuppam, which will soon be expanded statewide. Under this scheme, free solar panels are being installed for SC and ST families.

Ravikumar challenged Jagan to explain the negative impacts of schemes like Surya Ghar and PM Kusum, which aim to provide reliable electricity without additional costs. He emphasized the benefits for farmers and consumers, including financial relief through the ability to send surplus electricity back to the grid.

The minister criticized the YSRCP for obstructing welfare schemes and spreading "poisonous propaganda" through biased media. He urged the public to reject these claims and assured them of significant benefits once the electricity schemes are fully implemented.
