Prof. Mohanty, currently a UGC member and former Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Odisha, has received numerous national and international accolades

Eminent academician Prof. Sachidananda Mohanty has been nominated to the Governing Board of the UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research (CSR), Indore, for a three-year term. The nomination was made by Dr. Vineet Joshi, IAS, Chairperson of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Established in 1989, the UGC-DAE Consortium is an Inter-University Centre supporting advanced research involving accelerators, lasers, and nuclear reactors. 

Prof. Mohanty, currently a UGC member and former Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Odisha, has received numerous national and international accolades, including honors from the British Council, Salzburg Global Seminar, and the Fulbright Program. He has authored 30 books with leading publishers like Oxford, Routledge, and Sage.

Son of the late Panchanan Mohanty, former Financial Advisor to the Odisha government, and noted Odia poet Smt. Bidyut Prabha Devi, Prof. Mohanty was educated in India and abroad, marking a distinguished academic and literary career.
