On the occasion of the Telugu Film Chamber elections, the Progressive Panel — supported by Allu Aravind, Daggubati Suresh Babu and Dil Raju — organized a press meet, where leading producers including Sravanthi Ravikishore, K.S. Rama Rao, Ashok Kumar, Damodar Prasad, Mythri Ravi, SKN, Dheeraj Mogilineni, Shivalenka Krishna Prasad, Abhishek Agarwal and others spoke on key issues concerning the industry.
Speaking on this occasion, KS Rama Rao stated that the Film Chamber building and the Filmnagar Society lands were created purely for the growth and welfare of the Telugu film industry, and that the Chamber now needs to be revitalized so that progressive initiatives can be implemented effectively. Speaking about challenges faced by producers, Sravanthi Ravikishore emphasized that on matters such as Qube / UFO charges, union wages, mediclaim and financial pressure, there must be transparency, fairness, and timely decision-making.
Producer Damodar Prasad clarified that the allegations made against the Guild are untrue, and insisted that there should be no distinction between big films and small films — a film becomes big only when it performs well. The panel expressed concern that elections have been deliberately delayed and stated that those who are actively making films should play a decisive role in the Chamber. Making it clear that to resolve industry issues, unity among producers, responsible leadership and a transparent system are essential, they appealed to extend support to the Progressive Panel for the development of the Telugu film industry.
