MP Kesineni Sivanath said that the people should be more responsible in keeping the city clean. He urged the people to set aside some time a day for Swachh Andhra and keep their surroundings clean. 

Similarly, he urged the people to ban the use of single-use plastic and replace them with eco-friendly bags and goods so that we can move in the direction of reducing pollution

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Shivanath (Chinni) said on Saturday that protecting the environment is possible only with the cooperation of the people and urged the people to be partners to prevent plastic pollution.

He said that the government has banned 19 types of single-use plastic items which are harmful to the environment and mentioned that the use of single-use plastic should be completely reduced.MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) and MLA Gadde Rammohan participated in the Swarnandhra-Swachh Andhra program organized at Mahanadu Road on Saturday under the jointly by the Pollution Control Board Auto Nagar Industrial Local Authority (AILA) and The City Municipal Corporation.

Firstly, the officials and leaders took a pledge together with the people to save the environment. Later, the MP unveiled a poster to make people aware of 19 types of single-use plastic items banned by the government. MP Kesineni Shivanath and MLA Gadde Rammohan planted saplings for the protection of the environment.
