Public opinion invited on Musi River project

Public opinion, suggestions, and feedback on the Musi rejuvenation initiative will be invited online for a period of 15 days, from March 31 to April 15, through the dedicated email ID musrirdc@gmail.com

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has reiterated that the Musi River rejuvenation works will be carried out in a democratic and participatory manner, ensuring active public involvement at every stage. Chairing a review meeting on Tuesday at the Dr B R Ambedkar Secretariat along with Minister and Musi Cabinet Sub Committee member Ponnam Prabhakar, the Deputy Chief Minister held detailed discussions with officials on the progress of the project.

He announced that public opinions, suggestions, and feedback on the Musi rejuvenation initiative will be invited online for a period of 15 days, from March 31 to April 15, through the dedicated email ID musrirdc@gmail.com. Emphasizing transparency and inclusiveness, he stated that all valuable inputs received will be carefully analyzed in consultation with officials. Contributors who offer constructive and practical suggestions will be invited for direct consultations with the sub committee members in a phased manner.

Highlighting recent developments, the Deputy Chief Minister noted that the foundation stone for the Omkareshwar Temple along the Musi riverfront was laid on March 28. He directed officials to prepare a comprehensive and time bound roadmap for executing works under Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Musi rejuvenation project.

He further instructed officials to streamline and prioritize key aspects of the project, including coordination regarding defence lands, consultations with project affected and rehabilitated families, finalization of construction designs, and engagement with bankers for financial structuring. Work responsibilities should be clearly divided and executed efficiently to ensure steady progress, he added.

Calling upon officials to align with the vision and commitment of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the State Cabinet, Bhatti Vikramarka said the Musi project has the potential to become a landmark initiative in their professional careers. He encouraged them to work with dedication and a sense of purpose.

The Deputy Chief Minister also assured that members of the Musi Cabinet Sub Committee will remain accessible to officials round the clock to address any requirements, suggestions, or operational challenges.

The meeting was attended by Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Managing Director E V Narasimha Reddy, Joint Managing Director Gauthami, senior officials including Vinay Krishna Reddy and Ashok Reddy, Collectors Harichandana, Narayan Reddy and Manu Choudhary, GHMC Commissioner Karnan, among others.
