Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has directed the officials to expedite the ongoing construction works being managed by the R&B department and ensure their completion within the designated timeframe.
During a review meeting with officials at the Secretariat on Sunday, the Minister emphasised the need to prioritise projects that can be swiftly finished and made operational. He remarked, "Good roads enhance transportation options. Roads signify progress. Our attention should be directed towards the completion of ROBs, medical colleges, and TIMSs that are nearing completion."
The Minister assessed the progress of five pending Integrated District Office Complexes (IDOCs) located in Adilabad, Warangal, Mulugu, Narayanpet and Karimnagar. He also ordered the immediate completion and preparation for inauguration of the Warangal and Mulugu IDOCs, which are nearing their final stages.
In his review of the pending constructions of Rail Over Bridges (ROBs), Komatireddy Venkat Reddy prioritised the swift completion of the Madhavnagar ROB in Nizamabad. He also directed officials to concentrate on the ongoing ROB projects, medical colleges, and TIMS hospitals that are at their final stages of construction. Noting that Greater Hyderabad experiences daily traffic exceeding 91 lakh vehicles, he underscored the importance of developing high-quality road infrastructure in both urban and rural areas of Telangana.
The Minister expressed his commitment to discuss and resolve outstanding bills for contractors and work agencies in conversations with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. The review meeting was attended by ENC Tirumala, Chief Engineers Mohan Naik, Rajeshwar Reddy, Lakshman and several other senior officials.
