Chairman of Metro India and Vijayakranthi Dailies C.L. Rajam on Monday emphasized the importance of preserving the wisdom and values inherited from previous generations and called for initiatives to promote world peace beginning at the university level. The remarks were made during a preparatory program for the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the World Peace Mission, held at Taj Krishna under the leadership of World Peace Mission Founder and General Secretary Acharya Vrajendra Brahmachari.

The event was attended by several other distinguished guests, including former Chief Justice of Karnataka Justice K. Bhaskar Rao, former Telangana Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi, Dr. Pasiman T. Samuel, former IAS officer Rajasekhar, retired Colonel Chandrasekhar Rao, former Professor Prabhu and Sanskrit Bharati organizers Lakshma Reddy and Ashok Reddy. Prominent personalities have emphasized that world peace has become one of the most important and urgent priorities in the current global environment.

Addressing the gathering, C.L.Rajam said that while India's culture and traditions have long upheld the ideals of peace and coexistence, the prevailing atmosphere of conflict around the world is a matter of serious concern. Referring to tensions involving major global powers, he urged people to reflect on how knowledge, technology and values are shaped and transferred across societies.  Former Karnataka Chief Justice Justice K. Bhaskar Rao recalled India's commitment to international agreements on children's rights and education under the United Nations framework and called upon governments to ensure their effective implementation.

Former Telangana Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi, who has been associated with the organization since 2007, highlighted the importance of utilizing India's ancient knowledge and cultural heritage for the benefit of society. He noted that development should not be measured solely by infrastructure such as roads and airports, but also by the growth of goodness, peace and social harmony. Dr. Pasiman T. Samuel emphasized the importance of spirituality, compassion and learning from nature. He stated that society must not only discuss human rights but also recognize the rights of all living beings

Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Vrajendra Brahmachari highlighted the importance of mental well-being in achieving peace. He observed that while the human body is important, the mind plays an equally significant role and is often the source of stress and many personal challenges. According to him, meditation remains one of the most effective ways to attain inner peace. The organizers also announced that around 1,500 delegates from India and abroad, including leading spiritual figures from across the world, are expected to participate in the World Peace Mission Silver Jubilee celebrations.

As part of the commemorative events, Hyderabad will host an International Conference on Peace and Preservation of Spiritual Knowledge on July 28 and 29, 2026, at the Henry Martyn Institute, International Center for Research, Interfaith Relations and Reconciliation in Shivarampally. At the conclusion of the program, Acharya Vrajendra Brahmachari felicitated C.L. Rajam, Justice K. Bhaskar Rao and S.K. Joshi with traditional shawls in recognition of their contributions and support for the mission's objectives.
