Ramagundam Police Commissioner Amber Kishore Jha, along with Mancherial DCP Eggadi Bhaskar, visited the government de-addiction centre at Mancherial Government Hospital on Friday. The senior officers inspected the centre, interacted with doctors, and enquired about the health condition of persons undergoing treatment for ganja and other substance abuse.
Speaking on the occasion, CP Amber Kishore Jha expressed hope that every patient should show positive improvement within the 15-day treatment period. He underlined that doctors play a crucial role in developing good behaviour and positive thinking among those affected by ganja addiction. He advised parents to keep a close watch on their children and immediately report to the police or concerned authorities if they notice any abnormal changes in their behavior or physical condition.
The Commissioner issued a stern warning that anyone found consuming drugs again after completing treatment would face strict legal action and be sent to jail. He stated that police are maintaining continuous surveillance on ganja peddlers and drug suppliers. He called upon all sections of society to actively cooperate with the police to make the Ramagundam Police Commissionerate completely drug-free.
