Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has urged Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to support the modernisation and expansion of the Salar Jung Museum through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.

Chairing a meeting at Lok Bhavan on Thursday ahead of the museum's Platinum Jubilee celebrations (June 14–21), the Governor outlined a five-year development roadmap to upgrade galleries, storage, and conservation labs at an estimated cost of Ra 25 crore to Rs 35 crore. Additionally, a dedicated Telangana Heritage Wing is proposed for Rs 85 crore.

Special Chief Secretary M. Dana Kishore highlighted plans to develop a heritage corridor along the Musi riverfront, connecting the museum with the Telangana High Court and Osmania General Hospital. Representatives from major PSUs, including BDL, NMDC, HAL, and NTPC, responded positively to the funding appeal. The Platinum Jubilee marks the birth anniversary of Nawab Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, Salar Jung III.
