The 194th birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule was grandly celebrated under the supervision of Rashtriya Nari Samaj on Friday.

Vijaya Rajam, the MD of Vijayakranthi and Metro India newspapers along with Vakulabharanam Krishna Mohan former president of BC Commission were the Chief Guests at the event.

On this occasion, Krishna Mohan has said that Savitribai Phule had dedicated her life fighting for the rights of women and poor people and also to eradicate superstitions. She owned the ideals of her husband Jyothi Rao Phule and took up the profession of teaching. She established many schools that taught education to many women in different parts of the country.

Krishna Mohan said that the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is the only Chief Minister in the country to celebrate the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule as “Women Teacher’s day”.

He said among the accolades of those present at the venue that all the women and teachers in the state of Telangana are grateful to the Chief Minister.The chief guests distributed 200 sarees to the women who attended the event.
