Regency College of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management burst into a vibrant celebration of culture, cuisine, and tradition with its spirited ‘Bonala Jathara – Telangana Food Fest’.

Organized by third-semester BCTCA students, the event showcased Telangana’s rich heritage through food, music, and décor.

Coinciding with the food fest, the Orientation Programme for new BHMCT and BCTCA students was inaugurated, with insightful sessions by Dr. Daniel Raj B, Hemanth, and Deepthi on life skills like creativity, time management, and problem-solving.

The campus resembled a traditional jatara, adorned with Banthipoolu, gadapa muggulu, neem leaves, and a symbolic Pochamma temple. Students dressed as Pootharaju and Ellamma Thalli welcomed guests, creating a festive atmosphere. A captivating folk performance by Narsingi Narsing Rao added soulful energy.

Food stalls offered delights like Aloo Bajji, Garelu, Boti Fry, Kobbari Pulav, and Talakaya Kura, along with ten types of chutneys and sweets like Paramannam and Pusa Laddu. A Mehendi counter added to the festive charm.

Principal P. Ramesh Kumar Reddy emphasized that ‘at Regency, we teach not just food but culture.’
