The regional revenue conference chaired by Revenue Minister Anagani Satyanprasad began on Friday morning at the Chief Commisioner of Land Administration (CCLA) office. A meeting was held with the collectors and joint collectors of 12 districts.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Anagani Satyanprasad said that it has come to his notice that so far, half of the people who gave petitions regarding their problem are dissatisfied.

He expressed anger that the authorities have not yet resolved the 22A issue he mentioned in the Assembly in 2016. He advised officials to stop working in a haphazard manner in resolving people's petitions.

He even cautioned that CM Chandrababu Naidu is very serious about this.  Minister Anagani Satyanprasad ordered to take feedback from petitioners at the district level on the extent to which people are satisfied with the resolved petitions.

Minister for Information, Public Relations and Housing Kolusu Parthasarathy  said that farmers who have obtained Recognition of Forest Rights (ROFR) titles issued within the forest boundaries are cultivating, but every time the authorities change the forest boundary, they are causing trouble and not allowing them to cultivate forest land.

He also requested that ROFR pattas be provided to SC, ST and BC farmers who have been cultivating land that was previously registered as forest land and have been doing so for many years. He also requested that lands be allocated to industries as part of development and that small and marginal farmers should also be given cultivation land pattas.

He even compared  Revenue employees to those running on a treadmill-running where they are but not reaching their destination.
