All India Retired Railway Officers' Association presented the prestigious "Achiever's Award" to Telangana Government Advisor (Urban Transport) NVS Reddy on Saturday in Secunderabad. Stating that as MD of Hyderabad Metro Rail, he did pioneering work in conceiving and building the world's largest Metro Rail system in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode, the Association lauded his contribution to infrastructure development and inducted him into the "Achievers' Club" of the Association.
Later, addressing a large gathering of retired and working railway officers, NVS Reddy explained some of the pioneering work done by Hyderabad Metro Rail which got international recognition. Indicating that the rich experience and domain knowledge of retired railway officers is very useful for metro rail projects that are under implementation in over 25 indian cities, he urged them to remain active and contribute to national growth by lending their experience and expertise to the fast expanding metro rail sector.
V.S. Sastry, retired Additional General Manager, S.C. Railway presided over the meeting. He along with the Association President A. Venkateshwar presented the Achiever's award to NVS Reddy.
