The Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad conducted a ‘Reward Mela’ for the year 2024-2025 on Saturday at Cyberabad CP Office main conference hall in Gachibowli. The entire process of briefing witnesses and protecting evidences in co-ordination with Public Prosecutors was analyzed. The Commissioner of Police appreciated and rewarded 16 Public Prosecutors (PPs), Additional Public Prosecutors (APPs), 35 IOs and 33 Court Duty Officers total 84 in 44 cases of seven years and above convictions.
There are a total 44 cases (7 years and above) secured convictions during the period from August 15, 2024 to February 28, 2025. The Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad Avinash Mohanty, appreciated all CDO’s, IO’s, APPs and PPs for securing convictions in criminal cases and emphasized the importance of increasing the conviction rate in cases related to POCSO, Murder, Economic Offence, Robbery, Chain snatching, and Dacoity.
He stated that Zonal DCPs should conduct monthly review meetings with PPs and Additional PPs to work towards improving the conviction rate. The CP stressed the need for meticulous investigations and regular follow-ups on high-impact cases. CP Mohanty presented commendations and rewards to key contributors, including PPs, Additional PPs, APPs, IOs, SHOs, Liaison Officers and CDOs in recognition of their outstanding efforts in increasing the conviction rate, particularly in life imprisonment cases.
