In what appears to be a case of revenge, a rowdy sheeter, Shaik Amair (32), was stabbed to death by suspected relatives of a man he was previously accused of murdering. The incident occurred on Saturday night at Pahadishareef.
Amair, a resident of Chintalmet in Rajendranagar, had come to Nahdi Hotel in Chandrayangutta to discuss some issues when a group of men, reportedly led by Ahmed, a relative of Mubarak Sigar, allegedly lured him into a lane and stabbed him indiscriminately. The attack proved fatal, police said.
βOn receiving information, our team rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary for post-mortem. A case has been registered and investigation is underway,β said a Pahadishareef police official.
Shaik Amair was previously cited as an accused in the January 2024 murder of Mubarak Sigar. He was arrested along with his associates in that case and later released on bail. Police are now probing the recent attack to identify all suspects and motives.
This killing highlights the ongoing cycle of retaliatory violence linked to past criminal cases in the city.
