Rupali Ganguly praises Border 2 makers for dropping an actor, indirectly criticises Diljit Dosanjh over ‘confused loyalties’ remark

As reports surfaced that singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has been ousted from Border 2 amid the Sardaar Ji 3 controversy, Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly appreciated the gesture by the makers and took a dig at Diljit and his “confused loyalties”.

Rupali took to her Instagram handle to pen a note and without naming Diljit directly, she wrote, “Border was a film that evoked deep patriotism among the people of our nation. It’s truly disheartening and frustrating to see an actor in #Border2 who fails to recognise his 

responsibilities towards the country. Kudos to the makers for showing clarity and conviction by dropping that actor from film (sic).”

She went on to say, “A film that celebrates our soldiers and national pride must reflect that spirit in every aspect. No room for confused loyalties in a film about national pride. JAI HIND (sic).”
