Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao announced that on Tuesday, a total of Rs.1,551.89 crores was credited to the accounts of farmers who own up to 3 acres, at a rate of Rs.6,000 per acre.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched the distribution of ‘Rythu Bharosa’ funds for farmers on Monday. On the initial day, funds were transferred to the bank accounts of all farmers with land up to 2 acres, amounting to Rs.6,000 per acre. This initiative resulted in a total of Rs.2,349.83 crores being deposited for 39.16 lakh acres benefiting 41.25 lakh farmers.
On the following day, Tuesday, an additional Rs.1,551.89 crores was distributed for 10.45 lakh farmers with less than 3 acres of land. In an official statement, Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao assured that all other farmers, irrespective of their land size, will also receive 'Rythu Bharosa' support shortly, and encouraged everyone not to feel discouraged.
He said funds are being deposited directly into the accounts of farmers without any complications with banks and the Congress government is committed to the welfare of farmers.
