The Spotlight Guided Tours will be conducted every Saturday and Sunday and will be available in two formats-1-hour and 2-hour sessions

The Salar Jung Museum has announced the launch of Spotlight Guided Tours, a new visitor engagement initiative introduced in collaboration with the Re-Reeti Foundation. The programme aims to enhance the museum experience by offering focused, interactive explorations of selected artefacts and collections.

The Spotlight Guided Tours will be conducted every Saturday and Sunday and will be available in two formats—1-hour and 2-hour sessions. These tours are free of charge, making them accessible to a wide range of visitors including students, families, tourists, and history enthusiasts.

Designed to deepen visitors’ understanding of the museum’s rich and diverse collections, the tours will highlight specific artefacts and bring them to life through engaging storytelling, historical context, and open dialogue. Trained guides will lead the sessions, encouraging participants to ask questions and actively engage with the exhibits.

Through this initiative, the museum seeks to create a more immersive and meaningful connection between visitors and the cultural heritage preserved within its galleries. The collaboration with the Re-Reeti Foundation, an organization known for its work in museum education and public engagement, is expected to add a dynamic interpretive approach to the tours.

The introduction of Spotlight Guided Tours reflects the museum’s ongoing efforts to make its collections more accessible and engaging for the public. By combining storytelling with curated highlights of artefacts, the programme aims to transform traditional museum visits into interactive learning experiences.

Visitors interested in participating can join the tours during weekend visiting hours at the Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad.
